Day 2 + 3

Hello everyone! I just wanted to combine day 2 and 3 as they kind of merge with each other in a weird way.

I have made a lot of friends recently, it's pretty easy as the people here are rather welcoming, and I can usually just walk with anyone and strike a conversation. GFS's schedule was also slightly odd today. The last period class was moved to the community period which allowed us to get out earlier. I took a few more tech focused classes, however a few of the teachers were not present. Many of my classes were pretty chill as final projects and final exams are approaching, many due next wee
k. On day 2 I arrived home earlier and took a nap for a little and had dinner with Mr. Josh and Gabe as Ms. Amy and Eloise (Gabe's twin sister) were at climbing practice. the highlight of day 2 was definitely the conversation I had with Mr. Josh. We sat watching the game for a little and ate ice cream. We talked a little about sports and the reason I had come to GFS and entered the Network Program. From this conversation I also learned that Eloise is nationally ranked top 25 in climbing. The Klaris' are a very active family indeed. This leads a little into Day three.

The schedule was also a little interesting today as we arrived at school an hour later and our first block classes were moved to my community block. Today I took Mobile App Development which I really liked. The instructor invited me to their classroom and thoroughly explained to me what they were doing, as well as giving me access to resources if I wanted to do it myself. This class was extremely career oriented. As the instructor split the class into two groups. And each group was split into roles that an actual development team would have. It was extremely interesting and thought provoking. Since my schedule was vastly shortened, I spent my free period with Eloise and her friends and returned home soon after. Today was a big day as it was the Tennis team's Semifinal's. I learned that the GFS tennis team was extremely good, and I saw that during their matches today. They won every single one of their matches against the other school and completely destroyed them. They were all pretty good matches.

Another highlight of day 3 was my conversation with Ms. Amy. Ms. Amy works at a tech company albeit more on the business side. I spoke with her about her jobs and what she thought would be good for people to know. It was a very enlightening conversation and it yet again reminded me of the reason why I decided to participate in the Network program. These connections and these insights hold so much overall worth, encountering and learning from others is the most valuable thing for me at this stage of life where guidance is needed, and everything is up in the air.

picture of Gus (short for asparagus) he's coming to like me 😆
